deaf /def/ adj. 1 wholly or partly unable to hear. (Oxford English Dictionary)

Deafness is an unseen disability, which affects one in seven of the population in the U.K. It is one of the most misunderstood disabilities. Lack of understanding about deafness can lead to the break up of relationships, loss of customers to business, misunderstanding between employer/employee and many other problems.

Most devastatingly of all, the affected person may lose self-esteem and confidence and in some cases become clinically depressed.

It does not take a lot of effort to become aware of the problems of deaf people, learn how to communication with them effectively and understand the difficulties they experience in everyday life.

Wright Communication Training Services provide excellent courses which can be adapted to suit your needs.

DEAFNESS CAN AFFECT YOU, YOUR STAFF, CUSTOMERS OR YOUR FAMILY AT ANY TIME.

If you would like further information on courses or wish to book training please contact: jeanette@wcts.org.uk
